Where's your focus, Pain or Goal

When pain strikes it is especially important to keep your focus on where you want to be. Pain, disappointment (such as when you've gained weight instead of losing it) and upsets are great excuses to indulge in a snack or food binge we could better do without.

We do it to soothe our hurt and comfort ourselves. It's very easy to justify the behaviour when we are doing it to medicate our pain, physical or emotional. But you know the right thing to do.

Just focusing on the pain makes it feel stronger. Get your mind off the pain and onto your goal. Keep it there. Be determined. You can do it. I know you can and so do you. Good on you.
