Go bananas

You may have heard the song I like bananas because they have no bones. I like them because they taste good (especially Lady Fingers). They are also a good source of potassium, as are dried fruits, potatoes, oranges, dried beans and peas.

Potassium is important for the body. Without it you may feel fatigue, joint pain, depression, nervousness and insomnia. It is the 3rd most plentiful mineral in the body, exceeded only by calcium and phosphorus. 98% of it is stored in your muscle cells.

They are good on sandwiches and make great fritters. So “Go bananas” today.
